The Enchanted Closet

This past summer I joined up with a few wonderful ladies and we decided to start selling our boutique children's clothing and accessories. We call ourselves The Enchanted Closet (or The*Enchanted*Closet on eBay). We are a very small group right now, but we are a diverse group; and I am beyong excited to be a part of it. We currently are in the middle of our "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" Valentine's Day launch. Here is the outfit I made for the launch.

To see the rest of the offerings, please search TEC Boutique or just follow this link.....

Wow!! It's been a long time

Well, I started this blog with the best of intentions, but life has a way of getting in the way, doesn't it? So, what have we been doing?

Well, soon after I wrote me first and only post, school started up in full swing. For many people, that means a little bit of free time, but not me. This past fall we started our first year of homeschooling. Our oldest stayed home for school this year, but our youngest has continued to attend the local public school. We spent the past few months learning to juggle homeschool with public school, and I think it is going okay. However, I'm excited at the prospect of having both our girls home next year.

We decided to use Adventures in My Father's World for our homeschooling this year. It has been a lot of fun and very eye-opening for my 9 year old daughter. We have read many wonderful stories about girls and boys about her age, and she can't get over how many responsibilities these children had during our nation's formative years. I've told people that we have both enjoyed homeschooling and we have, but it often doesn't seem as if I'm actually teaching anything. However, I know the things we talk about are sticking with her because she can recall it weeks later, so I guess we're doing okay.

Hi everyone

This is such an exciting time for me, and I'm excited to be able to share it with all of you.

First a little background, my name is Eva and my husband and I are celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary today. We are also sitting in the middle of Tropical Storm Fay which explains why I am sitting here typing this rather than enjoying a night out with my husband. We have been very blessed with 2 amazing girls. The birth of my first was what inspired me to learn to sew. I actually wanted to make cloth diapers. I actually did make 1 or 2, but discovered that I really enjoyed sewing little girls' dresses. Over the years, my enjoyment grew as my skills developed and I loved continually challenging myself. I have made clothing for little boys, dolls, and also adults. I have even done a little crafting and home decor. However, little girls' dresses remain my favorite thing to design and make. Unfortunately, little girls grow and no longer want to wear all the beautiful ruffles and pinks, so I decided to start selling on eBay. I've listed a hand full of items and am excited that I have sold every one. I'm very excited to have joined forces with a few like-minded women and form our own design group. We will be launching soon, so I hope all of you will keep checking back for more information.

Well, that's about it for now. The winds and rain are picking up, so I'm signing off. I will check in again soon.
